Run this list before you submit any foundation bid. The items below are the most common scope misses we see in bid post-mortems.

[ ] Spread footings by type (size × depth) [ ] Continuous footings — full LF including corner bars [ ] Pier count by diameter and depth [ ] Grade beams — LF and dowels into piers [ ] Mat slab — SF, thickness, top mat, bottom mat [ ] Pile caps — count, size, top mat [ ] Thickened slab edges where applicable

[ ] Top mat each way at correct spacing [ ] Bottom mat each way at correct spacing [ ] Pier vertical bars and ties (or spirals) [ ] Dowels from footings to columns/walls [ ] Corner bars at every continuous footing change of direction [ ] Hooks where required by code [ ] Splice laps included in tonnage
